About NWPS
Who We Are
Northwest Wildlife Preservation Society (NWPS) is a registered Canadian Charity (BN #13302 9140 RR0001) and BC Society (S-22507) with offices in Vancouver and Victoria, BC and Canmore, Alberta. Since 1987, NWPS has been providing environmental education programs to school aged children, adults, and seniors.
Our mandate is Preservation Through Education. Through engaging education and stewardship programs, NWPS introduces audiences to the wonders of the natural world to encourage an enduring understanding and appreciation of nature.
The three main programs are: Wildlife in the Schools, Nature Walks & Workshops, and Environmental Leadership. These programs are offered year-round. When funding is secured, NWPS offers these programs free of charge to inner-city school children and at-risk youth in low-income areas to ensure marginalized children are given an equal opportunity to understand their interconnectedness to the environment and the importance of protecting it.
