NWPS would like to introduce our newest summer student: Nicole Wild. Nicole joined our team in May as our newest Community Outreach Coordinator thanks to a generous grant from the Canada Summer Jobs program. Nicole is a Graphic Design for marketing student at the Chip and Shannon Wilson School of Design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Richmond.

On April 8th, 18 volunteers came together for a Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at English Bay Beach. In just 2 hours we picked up: 875 cigarette butts 410 pieces of tiny trash 77 bottle caps 71 food wrappers 52 pieces of glass 36 beer cans 23 straws and much more! Sadly, we didn’t get a
